Ok.. this is the first time I did a vector trace of anything. For those of you who are unfamiliar with vector traces, especially anime ones, people often trace anime screencaps this way in order to create a higher quality version of an image or just to create a different effect. There are lots of ways to do a vector trace, so the style I used was just one of many options. I like to do mine this way with the pen-looking outlines more so than with stroke outlines or the complete lack-of-outlines look, because it's a mix of crisp CGness and the rawness of lines that look hand-drawn.

This particular image is from a scene in Shingetsutan Tsukihime episode 6. Arcueid is such a cool character. ^^

I decided to do this vector trace in photoshop rather than illustrator because photoshop is a more 'comfortable' environment for me. Illustrator is still rather intimidating for me to use. ; I'm working on it though. This took me approximately 8 hours to complete. I'm really happy with it, for my first anime vector trace. ^^
