Digital Painting and Whatnot

Wed Jun 24, 2009, 5:18 PM
'Allo allo! :meow:

Today I installed Corel Painter 11! I can't wait to start working with it. I've been wanting to try Painter for years, I just never got around to acquiring it until now. The amount of tools is positively overwhelming! I think I'm going to really like the blender ones especially. I should probably look for a "Corel Painter for Beginners" tutorial, if there even is such a thing.

I want to say thanks to everyone out there who has gone to the trouble to create tutorials for people on this site. I've been looking through a lot and +faving them if I think I can use them to improve my work. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate you sharing your tips and tricks with the lesser experienced. Sharing knowledge on the internet is such a wonderful gift to give!

I'm currently busy with a few commissions as well as some fun arts and my usual freebie sketches that I do for people on Gaia. Once I get the commissions done, I'm going to start trying my hand at real digital painting. If you have any resources or tutorials on DA that you think are really excellent, link me up! I'd love to read them, and will most likely fave them and stick them in my tutorials and resources collection.

Here's a couple of digital painters whose work I really admire. I've also learned some great things from their step-by-steps and tutorials. Thank you Keiiii and Sandara!
